THE COMMON TRAITS OF GREAT LEADERS, Part II

·        Owner/Accountability

Empowerment
The first order of the day is to provide proper guidance and
Limits and supporting the decisions of the subordinates. Make
sure everybody on the team has adequate opportunities to contribute
 and feel they are having a meaningful impact on the company.
When subordinate leaders are empowered, their intelligence
And talents can be unleashed to help the company grow

Patience
The perseverance of patience can have magical effects on
difficulties disappearing and obstacles vanishing. Always wait for
For the right opportunity and don’t swing at every pitch. Such
Characteristics bode well for becoming a successful leader

Diplomacy
There are enormities of roles that a leader has to play. One
Is the incubating of talents of others, and that of being a strategist?
One of the most important is to ensure that everybody is on the
Same page, and that teams work together toward common and
Collective goals despite cultural and/or political differences

Humility
The major bone of contention is for the company or organization
To insure its ability to learn, and to translate the learned knowledge
Into action in a timely fashion. This ensures that it has the ultimate
competitive advantage. In order to be on the leading edge of innovation
And improving, team members must be reflective and self-aware
Everybody should acknowledge when mistakes are made, and
Correct them so they can get better, at what they do. A good
Leader must say, I made a mistake, I am sorry, here is what I am
Going to do to make it better.

Influence
Leaders must have the ability to influence rather than authority
This tends to be the utmost important quality of a great leader.
Influencing requires patience for coaching, emotional intelligence
Effective communications, negotiating and consensus skills and traits
When leaders possess such skills it helps stakeholders to produce
better employees and customer engagement. It also increases
collaboration, innovation, and ultimately drives excellence for the
Company or the organization

Purpose
Have a clear mindset for the reason the company exists beyond
profit, and to be able to articulate that clearly and consistently
to all involved both externally and internally. This shall creates
the culture for a healthier and more valuable business entity.

Trust
As a leader one cannot do it all. In order for the company to be
successful, one must delegate responsibility to others that is trust
worthy. Leaders will know that employees who can be trusted
for such delegation of tasks. And can do so, knowing the employee
has the ability to achieve success in getting the job done.  

Vision
Great leaders are able to able get team members to see the big
picture. Because, they create the vision, articulate the vision,
and passionately own the vision, and be relentless with it to completion
In doing so, allows everyone to understand the importance of the
role they play on helping to bring the vision to reality

Integrity
Great leaders realize they cannot do it all by themselves.
The process of integrity matters in a number of ways: leaders
with integrity foster critical trust among colleagues and tend to
direct deport, and demonstrate a commitment to moral and
ethical behavior. Those who do will not gain any trust or buy-in
by teams and colleagues, which will end up being a negative
situation and shall impact negatively on management and
performance.  

Perspective
When others hold a short-range view, The Leader must have a
long range view. That shall be the right stuff to separate great
leaders from the rest of the crowd, and their ability to see the bigger
picture instead of becoming lost in the details. Great leaders know
and understand how each member of the team works to contribute
to overall goals of the company. In the process of keeping the end
 the objective insight, such leaders can push the company
forward toward the long term goals, rather than being stuck
at the short term level,

Listening
To be listened too is an honor; it is also an element of patience
To have the uncanny ability to listen and appreciate invaluable feedback
And input. Being a good or great leader, possessing the ability
To be an attentive listener is absolutely critical, especially from
those people who are on the front line

Motivation
Great leaders tend to be the ultimate and consummate
motivators. Such leadership quality is usually spotted very
early on at the beginning of the inner-action process. They under-
stand the importance of working with others, as well as, to roll
up their sleeve to work hard on their own. In addition, they will
genuinely want to be engaged and involved in the overall growth
and development of the company. While possessing a great
attitude and approach to helping the company to expand and grow
in the long term

Ownership/Accountability
When teams, in particular; a leader, who takes ownership of it’s
problems that needs to be solved. This in turns is a testament
of true battlefield leadership and true take charge business
acumen. Such a leader who matriculate with such accountability
can quickly become successful in handling management tasks.
Beyond navigating savings, and making the company successful
These type of leaders also typically develop employees under their
Tutelage, as they are mentored to possess the same management skills
