Title: “When Slaveowners Got Reparations”
The Annuals of History records that Slaveholders who held enslaved people were provided $300 for Human Beings they ‘OWNED”, as compensation to ease their so-called suffering because Slavery was abolished. The court’s decision regarding the “Fearless Fund” to support and uplift Slaveholders serves as a stark reminder that this country’s leaders in the past era of slavery. They were more concerned about relief for the oppressor instead of the “Oppressed’ Human beings held as Slaves. Thus, the 40 acres and a mule were a mere fallacy and a figment of the Slave Owner’s Imagination of Folly.
On April 16, 1862, Abraham Lincoln signed a bill emancipating enslaved people in D.C., that supposedly ended the long struggle of slave ownership. However, to ease the pain and so-called suffering of the District of Columbia and Maryland. The Emancipation Act paid those loyal to the Union up to $300 FOR EVERY ENSLAVED PERSON FREED.
