Not too long ago, I enjoyed the privilege of completion a Post-Graduate Course on "Rare Leader". We as students focus, surmised, and re-learned while engaging in interactive discussions, that healthy teams begin with healthy leaders.
The aforementioned traits and attributes in the title of this blog is key to the development of 'emotional intelligence', which lends itself to the heart of the quality of dynamic emotional maturity. And I hasten to add, it is also fundamental ingredients of the basis for benefits of it's 'Core Values.
As one's strives to rise to the level of a Rare Leader it prepares and equips you to:
~Cultivate emotional maturity in self first, then to share, mentor and develop others
~Promote a strong group identity
~Keep relationships bigger than any problems
~And then to develop the "Four Habits" of R.A.R.E leaders
HERE ARE THE FOUR HABITS:
The four habits prepare one to be exceptional and are built around the elements of identity and belonging. The power of these two sets the paradigm for the basis and core values of a Rare Leader. They are as follows:
R-Remain relational {belonging}
A-Act like yourself {identity}
R-Return to joy {being glad to be together]
E-Endure hardships well {use differences, difficulties to bring all closer together}
Just Know: That both belonging and identity are key components and lends itself to the evolution of 'Transformation.' It does not hurt one at this juncture to reflect on the biblical revelation of -the fruits of the spirits, i.e. love, joy, peace, long-suffering and temperament, etc.
In conclusion, a word in regards to, clear understanding and comprehending the essence of the message and the real meaning of one's speech,sermon, proclamation and/or utterances, especially when articulating a home-going eulogy. One need not look any further than the biblical passage of HABAKKUK 2:2, "The Lord said, write the vision; and make it plain, upon tables, that he may run that read it." Modern-day exegesis meaning: 'write the words large and present them on a Billboard, make them large and clear, share and explain them well. Therefore, anyone can hear it, read it, with no misunderstanding, and can run to explain and to tell others without any confusion.
